About the Department

History of the Department

  • The Ospital ng Makati Department of Emergency, Prehospital, Disaster, and Ambulatory Care Medicine was created in 1994 to provide comprehensive, efficient, high-quality patient care. Located in Pembo, Makati, the department helped expand the hospitalization coverage, mostly for the poor residents of Makati, serving both Districts 1 and 2. Its staff provides direct patient care both in the prehospital and hospital settings, and the 4-year residency program offering of Emergency Medicine is integrally related to patient care and safety. Just this 2023, the has recently change its name to the Department of Emergency, Prehospital, and Disaster Medicine and recently has launched its first fellowship training on Emergency Medical Services.
